Publish Every Union Deal with Government
When the government signs a deal with a union, you pay for it. So you should be able to see it.
Right now, agreements between the Victorian Government and unions can be struck behind closed doors. The terms are hidden. The costs are buried. And the people who fund it all, families, tradies and small business owners of this state, are the last to know.
This is about your right to know how your money is being spent. When a deal is done in secret, trust is broken. When it is done in the open, everyone can judge it on its merits.
Secrecy has a price. Deals made in the dark cost more, deliver less, and answer to no one. Victorians deserve better than that.
The demand is simple. Every union deal published within 14 days.
I will fight to require every Victorian government–union agreement to be published online within 14 days of being signed. No hidden clauses. No buried costs. Every deal, in plain sight.
These are not radical ideas. They are the basics of a government that answers to the people who fund it:
- Every Victorian government–union agreement published online within 14 days of signing.
- Full terms and costs made public, not hidden in summaries.
- The same rule applied to every department and every deal.
- Ongoing access so families, workers and businesses can see where their money goes.
You work hard for your money. You have a right to see how the government spends it.
Sign the petition. Put every union deal in the open.
Add your name to require all Victorian government–union agreements online within 14 days. Then share it with a neighbour, a workmate or a business owner who wants their money spent in the open.
